the situation with dillian whyte is very simple. you become the mandatory by winning a final eliminator and whyte refuses to fight a final eliminator. there's nothing anti-UK about that.
Cool, I genuinely didn't know that. Good knowledge.

It was more the way that the article read rather than the background and my point was that if you didn't know about the WBC being so prestigious and you read this article, you could be convinced that the WBC wasn't held in such high regard. Does that make sense?

I would actually like to see Wilder v Breazeale before Wilder v Fury. I feel that another US good level/rated fighter would be good for Wilders career, then take the Fury fight next year...or Whyte or AJ, whatever.

Too many folks are looking for reasons for this fight not to happen, mostly AJ fans who consciously or subconsciously see a Fury-Wilder match for what it is- a fight that makes their guy less relevant.

See, not only will the fight produce a champion with more of a claim to "baddest man on the planet" than AJ, there is a distinct possibility THAT BOTH MEN come out of this fight looking better than AJ.

If it is an exciting, well fought, back and forth match it definitely does that.
Even if it is a one-sided quick stoppage by Wilder of Fury, Tyson is the guy that had the balls to step up. It could even be a boxing match Fury wins, but enhances what folks think about Wilder's skill level.

The point is there are so many win-win scenarios for both fighters that, coupled with the huge payday, it makes absolute no sense NOT TO FIGHT, even if one or both are less than ready.

      This fight will happen.

WBC belt doesn’t mean sheet at heavy

Lewis is in the same boat as wilder and fury . They are Jealous of another mans success its getting pretty obvious now

The only info you can find about Wilders competition is on their FB profiles.

Seriously if Fury vs Wilder and Garcia vs Spence doesnt happen next then all of these fighters (except Spence) are dead to me.

Eddie Hearn spent many months lying and claiming Whyte was mandatory. So fans thought Whyte got screwed. The truth is that Whyte refused to fight a final eliminator. Clearly Hearn thought Parker was a safer fight than Ortiz.

And surely Hearn thinks Charr is a safer fight than Wilder.

Then tell us out of the four recognized titles, which has the most impressive title history at heavyweight.

This dummy Wilder will be lucky if fat Fury pass PED tests pre fight.
