      I have to say that I'm confused about Hearn's stance. At first, he refused to give Wilder a guaranteed fight with Joshua if he fought Whyte first. Now, he offers Wilder $15 million to face Joshua in April and threatens to put Whyte in his place if he refuses. I think maybe he wants Joshua to get a couple more fights under his belt, while anticipation of the fight with Wilder builds.

                  Sanctioning body rankings aren't rankings of the entire world of boxing. They are the rankings of the fighters currently fighting for that specific league. That is why independent world rankings and the rankings of the four leagues look so different.

                    The same way Kovalev became Stevenson's mandatory. In special circumstances, the champion of another organization may ask to fight for the WBC's honorary diamond championship. A recognition given by the WBC to special events to signify a non-WBC world title fight that happens to be of extra importance.

                    So like when Kovalev won the honorary diamond belt, or like when Santa Cruz won it, they can then ask the WBC to force a unification fight.
