Kovalev stopped, wonder if GGG is next

After the Kovalev fight I had a weird flash thought of what if canelo somehowpulls off a stoppage and GGG hits the canvas for the first time. If that was to happen sadly everyone on the GGG bandwagon would jump off and say he was a bum the whole time smh

We'll at least see GGG get dropped in this fight, and he's definitely losing.

Well compared to GGG all the US American fighters dont really have a wagon to jump off from. Might jump off from that donkey kart with 3 people on it.

And if Canelo gets stopped will he be considered a bum also?

How can you say that with such confidence when he's never been down? I am curious.

I know that is possible, but just my two cents: Kovalev seemed far more vulnerable far more often to me. He had at least one amateur leveled-kind-of KO loss on film, I think, where Golovkin didn't. There was more credible talk, I feel, that Kovalev was hurt in sparring than Golovkin. And he seemed shaken up more during fights more than once before Alvarez than Golovkin ever did. There are things that Kovalev does better or arguably does better, but I was always more inclined to think Kovalev could get stopped in his division than Golovkin in his. Golovkin rarely seems to even fight with slight concern. Maybe going to Alvarez's body or being more jab-oriented with Lemieux, but mostly all you see from him is a nod when he's smashed flush in the face. Kovalev looks like he knows he better be careful even in his match with Hopkins, to me. Just my opinion. Much more trust in Golovkin's chin and body.

I disagree. Some people would call him a bum but most of them were probably already saying that. He doesn't have the best resume, but for the most part that's not his fault and he's clearly proven himself to be an elite and exciting fighter. I think he's got more fans and more going for him than Kovalev ever did and that's why Kov faded into obscurity after the Ward fights.

Regardless, if Canelo KOs GGG or if GGG KOs Canelo I doubt anyone will call either a bum (and be taken seriously). They're the two top middleweights right now, and they already went 12 rounds with each other and neither could KO the other.

Nah I highly doubt GGG will get knocked out or even knocked down. He seems to have one of those ATG chins. Canelo also has a great chin so I'm 99% confident it goes to a decision again.

Ggg has that Mexican chin but if he does go down or gets stopped it will be to the body, when canelo was landing downstairs ggg looked very very uncomfortable.
