    Is Kovalev shot?

Not trying to take away nothing from Alvarez's victory, just wondering what your guys's thoughts are?

He looked slower, was breathing heavy out of his mouth after like the 3rd round, and didn't seem to take Alvarez's shots well even before the KO. The parallel isn't too strong, but this fight reminded me a bit of Robert Guerrero against Figueroa.

No I don't think so, probably not as sharp as he used to be but not shot. He was winning the fight, he just got caught with a perfect punch.

No, he's not shot but he's on the decline. IMO, he should take the rematch asap. Beating Alvarez isn't going to get any easier and if he doesn't take the rematch, what worthwhile fight is there for him?

Getting hit on the **** numerous times messed up his punch resistance. True fact, ask our very own doctor here on this forum.

He's not shot, but age catches up to anyone. He was still leading the fight until a huge punch changed the tide, and Kovalev's mistake was to get back up wobbly and keep on fighting and trading, instead of clinching and going into defense to survive the round, an recompose, so of course he ate more shots and got dropped again. The second knockdown was really the one that finished it.

But of course while he is past his prime, I do think if he is focused mentally, he still has a shot at winning a rematch.

He isn't shot, but he is definitely diminished.

Post-Ward, he just isn't taking shots the same way.

He can still win fights, just not much of a chance against the top of the division.

I think he is shot. Alvarez closed the coffin on the krusher

Idk bro. I think his chin has been dented enough that he will potentially get wobbled on any big shot. Kinda reminds me of Cody Garbrandt over the weekend in that the chins look like they may damaged beyond repair.

If he's shot, Andre shot him.
