you don't know what levels mean, in boxing ?

if I meant size, I woulda said weight
So their not great wins anymore because they’re abilities turn out to be actually better later in their careers?

They’re not great wins because no one knew their skills or how good they are when those fights took place?

You’re only joking yourself with your explanations.

Those were great wins because those wins were upsets. When people thought they’d actually lose but they won big time— bigger than anyone could’ve forseen.

It’s funny that you are actually more amazed by their victories over past prime dudes and fights they were totally favored to win. Tells a lot on how cloudy your views are

I am saing.... your argument that Floyd was favorite..... while being correct, is weak shht..... especially if you have the common-sense to see (with the benefit of hindsight) that Mayweather was MUCH better than Corrales
To make this easier okay I’ll agree with you. Floyd’s only wins against prime high ranked fighters in castillo and Corrales are not great wins since he proved later on in his career that he’s actually levels above them.
Coz later in his career he established himself more as the pound for pound king, so those wins are useless coz as it turns out they’re not even close to his skill level.
His wins against hernandez are nothing! Dude was just playing during those times!

See how ****** that would sound

Mayweather's ability did not turn out to be better later in his career..... he was exactly the same..... we now know that he was a PHENOMENAL fighter who was levels above Corrales

you can actually tell that by how the fight played out

like I said, this is not a high-school exam, you are allowed to use the benefit of hindsight

          they were both excellent wins

they just do not rank as highly as wins over Hoya (and I suspect Canelo)..... who are/will be, MUCH better and MUCH bigger than those guys

your " dude was just playing " spin is just silly nonsense

I thought you were trying to be " fair " ?

look, this is not a contest..... you are free to rank whatever opponent you like..... I don't have a problem with you rating the Corrales win, we can easily agree to disagree

others, will rank different opponents..... and I don't have a problem with them either

there are SOOOO many to choose from

Wins against high ranked prime dangerous opponents will always beat wins over past prime HOF opponents, or catchweights-when-you-already-fought-in-that-weight-before in terms of quality in my book.

The cotto that pac beat at 145 will beat Barrera. But doesn’t make it a better win than the one he had over barrera.

As long as you’re fair with it and not cry when others do it as well —specifically pacquiao— go ahead with your judgment and goodluck!

Otherwise you are just being a fanboy.

#3 P4P, 147 WBA champion. Everyone claimed that floyd was ducking him including you back then.

Oh and here is a quote from pacquiao's promoter bob arum:

"I think Mosley beats Mayweather. I think Shane Mosley, because of his style, has the best chance to beat Mayweather,”

Pacquiao ducked drug USADA again. Ortiz 147 WBC champion and #2 welterweight.

Cotto was younger than floyd, 154 WBA champion and the #2 Light middleweight.

Cotto ducked floyd in 2006 though and was still signed to top rank in 2008

Guerrero was the #3 welterweight lol and ranked P4P

LMFAO at khan and pacquiao, who had just got knocked out being better options.

Canelo defended his WBC belt 6 times, was #9 p4p, and the #1 154 pounder. Yep a recently knocked out khan and pacquiao would be better options LOL

Not one media scorecard had maidana winning LOL

Pacquiao and bob arum shouldn't have DUCKED floyd back in 2010 and 2012.

They backed out of the fight because of Drug testing in 2010= FACT

They didnt want to negotiate in 2011 because they didn't want to use USADA= FACT

They didn't want to negotiaite in 2011 because they wanted 50/50= FACT

They didn't want to fight in 2012 because they needed to heal from a cut= FACT

They didn't want to fight in 2012 because they wanted to build a stadium in las vegas= FACT

They released a list of possible opponets without floyd's name= FACT

They wanted to fight marquez for a 4th time on may 5th because they thought floyd was going to jail = FACT

LMFAO they ducked him. Plus floyd still beat him when pacquiao was #2 P4P and #2 welterweight in the world.

Retirment fight and he just beat your hero LOL

So please tell me again who has a better run? It can't be pacquiao surely

                BOOM IT's OVER

                  • Floyd was favored in all of these fights. So nothing remarkable.
Floyd had advantages over most for 1 reason or another.
Floyd borderline cherry picked some and some were out-right a joke!!!
A majority of those fights, Floyd stank up the joint. If not for his opponents, they would definitely be snooze fests!!!

Zab Judah: What did Zab do at 147?
He lost ~50% of his fights!!! He lost to slow as a turtle, cement feet, no name Baldomir in his previous fight.

Baldomir: Slow as a turtle, cement feet, no name fighter that beat Judah!!!

Oscar de la hoya: At that point in time, Oscar was basically retired and more promoter than fighter. Fought 1 fight in about 3 years then fought Floyd.

Ricky Hatton: Hatton was KING at 140. He had 1 fight at 147 and struggled and some say he should have lost to Collazo. Hatton knew that he had to go back down to 140. After 2 fights at 140, of course, Floyd wants Hatton at …… 147!

Marquez: 2 fights removed from 130 and never had fought at 140 nor 147. Floyd of course tries and succeeds to pull a fast one. Contract was for 144lbs but Floyd came in a comfortable 146lbs!

Mosley: 39 years OLD RUSTY as NAILs Mosely had not fought in ~16 months.

As per Floyd's interview, he said his game plan will take into consideration Mosley is OLD (and RUSTY).

Ortiz: Quit on his stool a few fights before the Floyd fight. He had just moved up to 147. He squeaked by Berto. Ortiz was knocked down twice!!!

Cotto: Came off 2 demoralizing devastating KO defeats. Then beat, a guy on 1 leg, a guy with 1 eye, and a guy with more bark than substance. This just like many of Floyd's fights, happened way to late. So that meant, perfect timing for Floyd!!!

Guerrero: This is now a broken record. Guerrero had just moved up to 147. Beat like everyone else, no defense Berto.

Canelo: Drained CW 152 Canelo was sitting down during the weigh-in. He said the hardest part about his training camp was making the weight!!!
Floyd's own team even admits that Canelo was too green, not ready, low work rate, no stamina.....

Maidana (Twice): This was a cherry pick that almost went wrong except, Floyd had the VEGAS judges that gave Maidana little credit. Floyd asked his fans, which cherry pick to fight? Khan or Maidana. Floyd picked the loser of that!

Pacquiao: Just like some of the other fighters names, this fight happened 5 years too late!! Manny fought injured and everything was stacked in Floyd's favor. VEGAS REF, VEGAS JUDGES, USADA, Nevada SAC...… After we wait 5 years, Floyd was allowed to use a BANNED ILLEGAL IV!!!! WTF!!!

Berto: What a joke is right. But remember, Ortiz and Guerrero got their fight with Floyd due to their wins against Berto!!!

HAIL All roads must go thru Berto …..

The challenge is simple. Name a better run over a similar number of years. Should be very easy given how unimpressive it is, right?
