It could have been for sure, but for me JP looks like he could step up a gear from the off. There's something not quite right when he fights, almost like it's a funky hobby he's got that doesn't really matter that much to him. He got going in the 12th like he just had a crazy Teddy Atlas pep-talk. He was a ''fireman'' for the last round only. I want to see Fireman Joe for at least 9 or 10 rounds.Comment

Parker walked out of those 2 losses with around 14-15 million. Losing those fights really wasn’t the end of the world. As long as he isn’t an idiot with his money I don’t see any reason to continue fighting after a few more years. I don’t think he has the drive after those paydays. 2 or 3 more 6 digit (possibly 7 digit) checks would top off a nice career.
