Oscar was more promoter than fighter by then. Hadn't fought in a year and only 1 time in about 3 years.

Mosley had not fought in about 16 months and was close to 39.

What Mosley is stating is that if they had fought when they were prime, Floyd would have lost.
I understand entirely what is meant. However mythical prime matches have been thrown around in boxing for too long and they mean nothing. When they fought Floyd won the end.

Larry Holmes beat Ali …. but that was no longer Ali but rather a shell of himself … and that is but just 1 example.

Are we now going to say that "When they fought, Holmes won" or should we not analyze the situation and call it what it really was?

That version of Mosley had 1 round in him then gassed. A prime Mosley would have been different. Same goes with any other prime fighter. That is why they call it their "prime".

FFS in their prime and p4P are all myths that don't really mean anything outside of boxing fans. time travel is not possible we only know his is best when they fight that's it anything else is guesswork.

Floyd back then told Mosley that he didn't want to move up to 135 to fight Mosley …. he said that he wanted to stay at 130 for 26 fights! Video has Floyd admitting to that!

Then once Mosley moved up, only then did Floyd go to 135. Floyd didn't stay at 130 for 26 fights!
Big Dunn is a loser who lives vicariously through Floyd. Hypocrite personified.

That Shane interview was posted before but the Floyd Boys acted like it didn't exist or wasn't valid, but it's hard to ignore your video finding that confirms his side of things was factual indeed.

Whatever side of the fence you sit, the 135 version of Shane just brought a set of intangibles that would have tested Floyd far better than what we actually got years later.

Good work though. I'm quite sure you'll be gang jumped by every Sav-a-floyd on this site.

            Floyd fans called that BS.

At the end of the video, Floyd says that he wanted to stay at 130 for as long as possible. Something like 26 times to break a record. Just like Mosley said!!!!

            KABADABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!

First check out the video above. The end of it Floyd specifically states that he wants to fight to beat the record at 130!!!!!! there was no mention of wanting to fight Shane

But here is Mosley being interviewed.

            .
So Floyd saying this is proof to you that he turned Mosley down yet Mosley on tape turning FLoyd down isn't proof to you that he avoided him.

OK, see it however you wish.

The video is in line with what Mosley said!

Those words that Floyd said is exactly what Mosley said! Mosley said he asked Floyd if he had intentions of moving up to fight him and Floyd said no, he wanted to stay down at 130 for something like 26 fights!

                2nd time
Mosley had already been in several fights that year and had planned to take some time off before his next fight. What Mosley said to Floyd was that he was willing to fight him if Floyd pushed back the fight date by a couple of months. Floyd didn't!!!

Now think about this. Floyd was ready to retire back then. Who do you think was better on his resume, Mosley or no-name Baldomir? Why didn't Floyd push it back a month or 2?

                  • I thought De la Hoya won that fight against Floyd, so I 100% agree with Mosley. I think De la Hoya might even knock out Mayweather

Just cuz he wasn't superstar don't mean he wasn't in his prime. That's a weak argument. No version of oscar beats The Best Ever cuz oscar's own career shows he never won his big fights....LMMFAO
