Well he barely squeaked out a decision on the cards and was having some problems in there...it wasn't a cake walk. The problem is Floyd nut huggers try to turn everything into a "schooling". He did enough to win that fight, but it wasn't emphatic by any means. If Oscar wasn't on his way out while Floyd was on his way up, the decision probably goes the other way...it was a passing of the ppv torch.

It wasn't supposed to be passing of the PPV torch cuz they tried to rob Floyd. Fact was Floyd made it look easy as he usually does. I didn't give Oscar more than 4 rounds.

Oscar didn't lose all of his major fights either, he was robbed a good few times let's not forget. And he fought the best, at their best something Mayweather didn't always do, that is a fact.

Regardless, he fought Floyd to a SD when he was old. It's not out of this world unimaginable that he could do better in his younger days.

Oscar beat Ike Quartey in his prime & even THAT was a close fight. He was beating Tito to the punch then completely stopped in the last 4 rounds, no ring IQ showed there....LOL....now name a fighter he beat that was on their game. I'll wait....

Honestly, the only other fighter I rate as high as Shane at 135 is Duran. Shane's power at 135 couldn't be handled by anybody. When you have a guy at 135 with that kind of power, it gets tricky.

Obviously this is all fantasy talk at this point, and there will be some generational disagreement here no matter what.

Shane puffed up in that CBS interview but it wasn't anything too crazy, he still has his faculties which I'm glad for, dude was in a lot of wars.
Hard to argue against his logic that he chin checked Floyd better than anybody else ever did when he was almost a 40 year old man. I think young Shane could have handled young(er) Floyd IMHO.
