This Guys Going To Defeat Fury? Hold On.

Boxers with balance issues and awkward technique sometimes beat far superior technical fighters. Mayorga vs Forrest. I guess at least Wilder didn't uppercut himself in the face eh?
Wilder's power punches are what they are, I don't expect that to change, but his jab sometimes looks impressive (vs Stiverne 1) and other times not so much (vs Washington). Wilder has a good 1-2, but he might have problems landing the jab in the first place to set-up the right hand.
If Wilder finds a home for the jab early I'd expect him to establish range and start to land the right hand more often by round 4. Even if he is getting slightly outjabbed by Fury and losing rounds, as long as he lands enough of his own it'll lead to success by the end IMO. But if he struggles to do that and resorts to just throwing crazy power shots without setting them up I don't see him landing some random hail Mary shot to turn things round. He can't afford an opening 3-4 rounds here like he had vs Washington.Comment

I'd generally pick Fury to beat Wilder if he's at his best but Wilder is a seriously dangerous puncher with an ability to land his shots. You always have to give him a good chance of winning.
I've always felt Wilder smashes AJ though. AJ is too orthodox and stiff and will be right there for the right hand of Wilder.
Fury v Wilder is a really interesting fight but Wilder definitely needs to do more than look for a big right. If your plan against Fury is simply to look for the big right hand, he will see it all day. I think Wilder has a good jab when he utilises it properly but Fury has a good jab too and good at taking away a fighters jab.Last edited by TheBigLug; 08-06-2018, 08:13 AM.Comment

Nearly killed Ortiz ? He wouldn't even won that fight in some refs calls or the bell hadnt saved him . lol
Crack is whack !
Molina wobbled Wilder badly to while Joshua toyed with him , stopping him in 3 .
Joshua has clear K.O s like Breazeale and Whyte while Wilder has Szpilka who light punching Jennings defeated quicker ?

The funniest part is that this uncoordinated, stumbling, bum is the guy Johnson turned down $50m to fight.
The same guy that Johnson told his fans to train and fightComment
