Not the same thing.
ummm...Chavez didnt just jump 4 weight divisions, first he became champion in the SUPER Featherweight division, then LIGHTweight division, then light WELTER weight division, he didnt move up to welter till late in his career and never won a title there, and hows Cotto gonna jump 2 weight divisions?!?! hes moving up to welter not lithgtmiddle, and another thing Chavez faught most of his career at lightwelter(140lbs) which is where Cotto is now, and Cotto still has yet to win a major belt. but that was my first impression of Cotto, in my opinion he resembled Chavez in alot of ways, kinda still does

And he lost to Meldrick Taylor, who didnt even have Cottos record at the time, with 40 over fights at Superfeatherweight. So Cotto started at Lightwelter and Chavez started at featherweight beating much smaller fighters.

I'll admit that you Mexicans are starving for attention because you guys even with one million fighters Puerto Ricans are still upping you guys in boxing. Margarito lost to Santos, and he'll lose to Jose Rivera just the same.

Margarito himself could clear out all the puerto rican fighters at welterweight, he already defeated one named cintron, put collazo, queitanna, or cotto and Margarito knocks them out one by one.

                  margarito would ko rivera

Actually there's more than 2 million Mexican boxers now. LOL

It's amazing that PR, an 80 mile island in the middle of the Caribean, can produce so many world class boxers!

Yeah, but that'd mean he'd actually have to fight a ranked fighter, good luck on that. He still having nightmares from Santos whipping his ass back down to Welterweight, and he wasnt even a brawler
