There's no way Kovalev will fight better than he did last night. At 35 it's way too late to try and improve his fitness. He probably figured with Ward retiring he would be the man at 175 again but now he knows he was wrong.

I'm not understanding people having a problem with Roy stating what seems to be the obvious. Just because he fought on well past his best yrs means that he isn't qualified to assess if another fighter is done?

Used to be a fan of Kovalevs til he ran his mouth and said all kinds of bad stuff about Andre Ward then didn’t back up any of it and quit. Now he blames it all on his old trainer over social media which is classless and then gets beat down by Alvarez. As soon as he realizes he can’t KO his opponent he is mentally done.

No he isnt qualified to talk about a fighter being Done, because be was Done for many years but is in denial.

It's not exactly strange. This is about the time that most fighters fall off and Kovalev went through two hard fights against Ward that wouldn't have helped much.
