The two ward defeats I can completely understand why a stubborn person would refuse to accept those defeats but after last night not even a stubborn person could deny the fact that they need to change things.

I wouldnt be completely shocked if he won a rematch as he was ahead on the cards and Alvarez isn’t a known power puncher so I’d be surprised if he stopped him again. Kovalev really needs to work on his conditioning in the second half of the fight if he wants to carry on competing at this level

Kovalev's chin is completely gone. Trust me, a rematch will be another stoppage loss, and Alvarez isn't even a massive puncher at 175, just solid respectable power. Kovalev's easy pickings now, any decent contender can stop him if they survive the first 4 rounds, similar to Tyson at the end of his career.
