He's good but not that good. I thought he was losing the fight before he knocked Kovalev out.

I got Kov refusing the rematch. He knows he will lose again. He'll move on to fights he can win. Nothing wrong with that.

Bivol will have to wait to face any top dogs after his performance tonight... So that leaves us with 3 GYM guys who live in Montreal, 2 of them having the same trainer (Beterbiev and Alvarez)...

Bottom line: If there's some sort of unification to take place in a near future, that's gonna be Alvarez vs Stevenson or Beterbiev vs Stevenson... so nope... Title defenses and mandos forever ...

And forget about the rematch clause for Kovalev... I doubt anyone thinks it's a good idea...

HBO got the right to Alvarez next fight so its

          Bivol vs Alvarez (WBA super/WBO)

          Stevenson vs Gvozdyk (WBC)

          Beterbiev vs Johnson (IBF)

          Jack vs Browne (WBA Regular)

          Kovalev can move to cruiserweight

That’s not what I saw. I saw a single punch change a fight.

Didn’t Ward already take his soul?

The dude ate a flush monster shot, fell, got up even though very wobbly, tried to fight on, did not clinch, fell again, got up again, tried to fight on, fell again, and ref called it.

              Kovalev still has his soul.

Yep, say what you will but Alvarez was losing the fight before he landed that punch and Kovalev seemed to have the momentum.

People might disagree but I wish GYM was with HBO. Beterbiev, Alvarez and Stevenson are all super inactive.

whats funny or sad is that if this was ggg/kovalev/eastern euro bum etc...and he was down on the cards and scored a ko victory he would be labeled a guy who only has power and can't box. i dont think that ill happen with alvarez though...

Maybe rematch against Kovalev (apparently there was the clause), or maybe winner of Stevenson-Gvozdyk would be good.
