The corner gets the full break time with their fighter, and the doctor intervenes or inspects after the break if deemed necessary. There was no special treatment for Wilder, everything was according to the rules of New York.

I was going to make the same post, but yours sums it up perfectly. British refs always seem to be looking for the slightest excuse to give the hometown fighter a TKO victory. They treat 12-round championship fights like insignificant 4-round preliminary matches.
