i never understood the julio hype, i have seen a few of his fights and he is just, not good.

Julio has no trouble with southpaws. He knocked out 2 of them in his career, he shouldnt have struggled last night. BUt im not surprised OR dissapointed in Julios performance.

It still looks like Joel Julios got the tools and skills to become great, he just hasnt discovered them all yet.

What i WAS dissapointed in, was Joels entertainment level. I thought he would be on the attack a LOT more. I thought hed be pushing quintana into the ropes.

No doubt this was a pretty entertaining fight, but thats because quintana made it entertaining.

I thought Julio was gonna be the next ali in terms of how exciting he is. But he really isnt. Hes ur ordinary boxer with great skills. Nothing to exciting in him, and i see plenty of snooze-fests in his future.

This is a fighter i'm not gonna be following until he gets into some sort of super fight with a great fighter

People were just wrong about Julio, and that's all there is to it. We've seen this before from fighters who win all their fights in their home country where there's no good competition.

I personally have seen many fights from Julio, this guy power is awesome, I've seen some of his ko's. I think Quintana just proved how good of a boxer he is, Quintana can also pop and can take a great punch.

I will favor both of these guys over Margarito, I bet Margarito will not fight any of these guys.

Had Julio been thrown in with Margarito he would have been destroyed.Then people would have have said how over rated he was but he lost to Quintana and it was just that Quintana is good.
I was very impressed with Quintana last night,I think he belongs with the welter weights elite but he is to green to fight a Margarito.Margarito is trying to get name recognition by fighting Mayweather.He isnt trying to fight up and comers cause when he destroys them his haters say they were over rated.by the way Cintron beats Julio to a pulp,I mean I like Julio he has good power and all but his body is very easily hurt.Quintana has a boxing chance againts Margarito but he is not ready,yet.

You have a good point but you havent mixed in all the ingredients these guys bring to the table. Julio has more power yes but Margarito has a chin that will hold up.You forget Margarito goes to the body hard and Julio was hurt to body last night a couple of times.Matter a fact I think that is what made the difference againts Quintana who doesnt hit as hard as Margarito.Margarito has way more expierience againts any type fighter you throw his way,Mayweather is an exception cause of all the talent he has.

I see the this fight folding out like this. Julio and Margarito trade shots maybe Julio getting the better of the head shots but Margarito's relentless to the body. ultimately tire and bring Julio's power way down.Margarito takes Julio's heart on route to an 8th round tko.This is case of young lion vs. still prime older lion.3 or 4 years from now Julio will easily defeat a worn Margarito by nasty ko.

Now THERES a fight i would love to see. Quintana vs Collazo!!! that would be a great fight. 2 slick soutpaws, both natural welters! hopefully thats a fight that could happen, but it probably wouldnt. If it does, hopefully it would be telivised on HBO
