There's no instant replay in boxing, the ref didn't catch it, and the headbutt goes down as a knockdown, that's it.

If I were Parker I'd be more pissed off about Whyte clutching onto the ropes to survive the end of the 12th when he was clearly going down for the count. But then again JP just doesn't seem to have the killer instinct to take him out. He showed he had the skill and power to KO Whyte but only applied it way too late in the fight. It's your fault Parker, live with it, learn from it, and move on. Trying to squeeze a *DRAW* out of something you didn't even complain about during the fight is pretty pathetic.

It's a fair dispute i suppose. It shouldn't have been ruled a knockdown, therefor it did change the outcome of the fight. That said, Parker is mostly to blame for losing the fight by doing nothing after the 4th round until the 12th round.

But either way you look at it, that headbutt knockdown has determined a different outcome and that's not right

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Surely they have to acknowledge it wasn't a real knockdown, because it wasn't. I suppose they will just say that referee's have a hard job and it was difficult to see in real time and the decision still stands.

they won't want to open a can of worms by reversing decisions over bad knockdown decisions because appeals will start flooding in all the time over refereeing mistakes.

Team Parker will be dismantled in career time bc Whyte will win again , he will be better and lighter .

Wouldnt Ortiz also have a more legit argument , how many illegal shots did he take for Wilders punches to find the mark ? lol

I can list an entire roster of guys who didnt cry for far more blatent cheating ! lol

It has everything to do with it , you cant cry about a loss after the fact a week later unless instant replay is issued in boxing ...see above post !

Ortiz was fouled throughout the fight what does that have to do with fouling being O.K bc it wont get called ? I didnt see Ortiz cry though did you ?

It isn't like the WBC has ever ordered a rematch due to a headbutt, right?

Ok, Ok, it isn't like it happens a lot in boxing that sanctioning bodies try to correct something that went wrong in a match by ordering a rematch tho, right?

Andre Dirrell and Jose Uzcategui will need to meet again according to the sanctioning body.
