(Interview) Deontay Wilder Confirms Tyson Fury as Next Fight

The Ring title and the lineal title have nothing to do with each other. Ring still refers to Fury as the lineal champion. But he's not the Ring champion because it's two totally separate things.Comment

The Ring was right to strip Fury after so long, and they are right not to acknowledge any bout without Joshua for the Ring title. That being said, nobody can change the fact that Fury was the last lineal champion, and Joshua never has been that. If Joshua were fighting Wilder, then that bout should and would be for the Ring title. But the Povetkin bout shouldn't be for the Ring title either, it goes without saying.Last edited by SAINTSTEVE; 08-02-2018, 11:45 AM.Comment

This is team Wilder doing their usual thing .. fighting cans and only stepping up when they see a "name" looking old or vulnerable.
Man .. I hope it backfires on them this time and that lanky, cherry picking fraud gets what's coming to him.Comment

Wilder is full of shit. His own manager said he wasn't ready for Wlad after he beat Stiverne:
WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32KOs) is still very much a work in progress, says his co-manager Shelly Finkel. After last Saturday's world title win over Bermane Stiverne, the hype began growing for a fight between Wilder and WBO/WBA/IBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko. Finkel, who manages Wilder with Al Haymon and Jay Deas, also works closely with Klitschko.Comment
