Anyone got caught off guard on Andrade vs Saunders?

Because I'm really dumb founded on how this fight was made. These two fighters are literally the last top fighters I would expect to fight each other in their primes.

Massive, massive props to Saunders on taking such a high risk low reward fighter in Andrade, made me change my PoV on him.

Yeah, this one surprised me quite a bit. In a good way, of course.

Not really. I see different promoters coming together to make the these kinds if fights.

I don't know why people are surprised by this. BJS had no hesitation fighting Lemieux in Canada, and he accepted 2 offers to fight GGG, both away from home.

If he would fight Golovkin in Kazhakstan, he isn't going to be scared of Andrade in the States.

Until we see them both inside the ring across from one another I'm still not gonna allow myself to get pumped for this considering their track records of being flakes.

          Great fight tho...IF it happens.

Not really a question of fear, but business. Andrade isn't a big attraction in the U.S. by any means. It seems like a low risk, low reward fight, there were no hurdles in the negotiations like there usually would be in this type of fight.

It just got done outta nowhere.

Andrade hasnt looked good but it is surprising. Well...odd I think is a better term. Not a fight anyone was really talking about. It’s always been Andrade vs GGG or one of the Charlos or somethin’. Never really went further than that to incoude BJS.

The best version of ANdrade vs BJS is interesting. The way he’s looked recently? I’d expect BJS to win a snoozer

Not to mention he actually fought a lot of tough fights coming through, as in domestic level fights. Guys like Ryder, Spike, Blackwell, Matthew Hall were all very solid domestic level fighters when Saunders was on the way up. Not to mention Eubank Jr. was seen as favourite in their fight.

BJS definitely didn't take any easy route. Even winning his title v Andy Lee was a good win, when you consider Lee was coming off the back of some very good wins and it was Billy's first ever fight anywhere near world level really.
