I'd pay 100 to see either of those fights. Wished boxing would get out of it's own way and let fights happen.[/QUOTE

Shhhh. Why would you put something ****** like that out there?

Nice grammar, indictment of the American Educational System. Greed is in boxing's way. All major sports are United, they dont compete with themselves. Boxing has promoters, and networks competing for the same product. Sometimes the World Series or Super Bowl of boxing doesn't happen, or it happens late. MMA does better ratings, that's pathetic.

I'm a big fan of Mikey but I think this is a bit of BS from him. He doesn't seem real keen on making the fight and every time he talks about it, he always mentions problems and obstacles in the way of it potentially happening. Loma has said on numerous occasions that this is the fight he wants. Bob is greasy but regardless of the conflict with him and Mikey, he knows this fight would be huge and would do huge numbers.
If Mikey really wanted this fight next, he would've been talking about it before the Easter fight instead of wanting to move up to WW to face Spence, which is admirable but a step to far if you ask me.
Mikey was pissed when Linares decided to face Loma instead of him, now Loma has the upper hand at LW even if Mikey also unified. Easter was not at the level of even a slightly faded Linares. Now Mikey wants to one up Loma but Spence? He's the only one in his camp that wants that fight and for good reason.

If he wants an easier opponent after surgery that is fine.

But then some of these posters around here need to stop pretending that he was ever going to fight Mikey next. He wasn't.
Before he got injured he definitely wanted the fight! You sound like a Loma hater. Loma is constantly stepping up weight and looking to challenge the best to be the best. Why would you doubt he wanted to fight Mikey? Mikey is not the boogieman, Loma is. Mikey is a great boxer but Loma has exceptional skills.

#1. I'm talking about opponents that generate risk. vargas was with top rank at the time, he would've had options with algieri (and no way was algieri a threat to win that fight) and mathysse was no risk. Floyd, he waited out until he could milk more money out of pacs prime and then made the fight when there were no other money options that would come within a fraction of what that fight would gross. Mikey is a huge risk for Loma so don't expect to seem arum take it.

It's real simple. Bob is not a one and done type of promoter. If Mikey fights someone from his stable he wants compensation like future options on Garcia next fights for his declining roster.

I think he might run away with this rematch. Fighters like him get better with more information (and rest). He's not going in with any reservations. It could be a 9-3 shutdown. GGG better throw away the plan and try to kill him lol
No juice this time though! Let's see if that makes a difference.

Mikey is full shyt. Arum never protected Manny, signed him up for one dangerous opponent after another. Arum cares about money and if there is money to be made matching Loma with Mikey he will make the fight. Mikey is the one who is shopping for the best deals in town. So if he prices himself out he only has himself to blame.

Huh?? What the heck are you talking about? You do realize 'use to love boxing' is grammatically incorrect, right?
