I really dont get the critics, its a fight that can be made, i understand why everyone is talking about it but this fight makes sense if both team are up for it.

I was mad at Spence at first, but then Mikey spits his name out on Showtime. Mikey is the one pushing for this fight. I like Mikey and Spence is only trying to give him what he wants. No complaint here, Mikey wants a legacy fight and this is it.

Mikey has been talking about this for quite awile now. Since it looks to becoming a reality I don't have a problem with Spence being in favor of the fight. With that being said, I can see this looking bad for Spence no matter what the outcome. If he loses he'll get ridiculed. If it's competitive they'll say he got exposed. If he destroys Mikey they'll say he picked on a smaller guy.

The main welterweights are avoiding Spence. None of them want a piece of him. So you got Mikey showing some balls and calling Spence out in the ring after a fight while Spence is there as a guess announcer. So Spence accepts Mikeys challenge and says he wants that fight. That's the way it's been done for years. So all of a sudden Spence gets criticized WTF. Some of the people on here are not boxing fans. They just come on here too hate on fighters.

Remember all the shyt and criticism GGG took when he took that fight. As a reminder, GGG was in deep negotiations to fight Eubank Jr... dude lost his pen so Kell Brook stepped up and the fight was offered at the Last minute.... we all know what happened after that....

big dunn told me its different cause of stepaside fees or something. And a couple of others have said its different because garcia gave a couple of interviews mentioning spence. Apparantly that justifies the vastly different reactions.

You're absolutely right. The best scenario for Spence is Mikey giving him a little trouble. He may want to think about letting Mikey connect some, and carry him a few rounds. If he destroys Mikey he may never get a unification bout on the PBC side.
