Comments Thread For: Chisora's Trainer Breaks Down Sensational Knockout of Takam

DON CHARLES, Dereck Chisora's trainer, was thrilled with his fighter's performance against Carlos Takam but had some strong words for those who have written Chisora off over the years. Despite Chisora not being known for his one-punch power, Charles was not shocked by the quick and violent ending that saw Takam felled by a brace of stunning right hands.

    Fantastic fight.

Rematch with Whyte next would be good for both, and fight fans!

I thought Chisora did enough for the decision in their first fight tbh.

What he means is "lost the entire fight but managed to score a home run punch, which is the only way he coulda won"
fair enough he won but don't act like it was some f'ing masterplan for god's sake...

The way takam was throwing bombs from the start it was only a matter of time before it caught up with him

Chisora had to take a flogging before he landed his own . Even though Chisora was losing he was still landing his own shots to the body

Give the guy props he won on his own merit / toughness

                Same tbh.

I like both Del Boy and Whyte.

I’m on board with them just fighting each other another 5 times and call it a day.

A motivated Chisora is great entertainment, the guy can soak up huge punishment and come back just as hard.

I think there was a game plan against Takam, to feel his power and if not overly affected then wait for an opening, which he exploited perfectly.

I think he edged the Whyte fight as well, but to be honest Chisora is likely a bigger draw than Whyte after last Saturday anyway.

no it wasn’t but Chisora & his team knew it was do or die. Don’t forget Ringstar thought he was so washed up after the Kabayel fight they wanted to match Joyce with him. Takam went 10 with AJ on 12 days notice. Chisora KO’d him after Takam had a full camp & was in terrific shape. One thing Chisora can do is take a punch...he had been hit by a lot bigger punchers than Takam. Great win!
