I'd say the IBF ordering this fight will pretty much guarantee Mikey moving up to fight Spence. I know the IBF enforces its rules, but what glory is gained in beating a guy that lost to the guy you just beat soundly. If the IBF could mandate a legitimate contender or threat as a mandatory, I could see the rush. Comney is no challenge or threat to Garcia, even worse no real money. Hes not as bad as Baranchyk, Derevechenko, or the other bum GGG was mandated to fight Wade? I can't recall his name now, he lasted 2 rounds. My point being if it's so urgent to defend the belt, at least find someone worthy of ranking #1 before you order a mismatch, a waste of time, and a minimal profitable fight.

I like Commey, solid fighter. I think Garcia is a cut above, but he is to most guys at 135.

You’re acting like “will likely vacate” is already a forgone conclusion. Like “discussing a fight with spence” means Garcia has already moved up to welterweight.

Everything is just speculation right now and we don’t know what Garcia’s and his team’s move will truly be.

Everyone will be happy if out of a sudden Loma-mikey happens. Even against commey we have a good fight.
