Comments Thread For: Haye Feels Tyson Fury's Style Could Create Problems For Wilder

TYSON FURY's awkward style of fighting could see him overcome Deontay Wilder in the ring. That's according for former world champion David Haye. Tyson Fury announced a deal was close with the American fighter yesterday.

I think he beats Wilder if he is fit, I don’t think he is mentally ready right now. He has lost a lot of weight from the video that I just of him, but he looked drained and tired. And losing weight doesn’t mean you are fit. I would call him a soldier if he takes the Wilder fight this year.

Even when fit, he doesn’t have enough power to stop a bonzai attack from Wilder, same with AJ...

He will win every round against wilder until wilder knocks him clean out, around round 8-10

Absolutely agree. It's no secret the style of opponent Wilder has looked his best against - stationary targets. His power plays up when the guy he's throwing at, moves like a glacier. His best wins (Stiverne and Ortiz) fit this profile exactly.

Fury is a big guy but has incredible movement and judge of distance. He's not going to stand there and wait to be hit.

I think Wilder attacking Fury's body will be the key. Not sure if he'll do that though. Wlad didn't either.

If Fury was sharp I think he would clown Wilder to a wide UD. But he isn't sharp, and he didn't look good last time out. Too long out of the ring, and too long out of shape. Unless Fury regains his form I think he gets clipped.

I think even at Fury's best, Wilder catches up to him eventually.

Tyson boxes, wins some rounds and loses some (no way even Tyson is more crafty than Ortiz) and gets caught.

But, I give an in-shape Tyson a much better chance to beat Wilder right now than AJ, who was gunshy vs Parker of all people.

Any version of Fury would lose to Wilder. Wilder is going to eventually hurt him and it will be over.

Fury v Wilder has always been the most intriguing fight for me. I think Fury makes AJ look very basic and i think Wilder finds AJ easy to hit, because he's too stiff and upright.

Fury v Wilder is the interesting one. I've always said that Fury (at his best) is the one HW around today that i could see being able to nullify Wilder's right hand for a full fight and beating him...but at the same time, you can never count Wilder out. He has a knack for landing the big shot. It's interesting for sure.
