To his credit, Loma hasn't said anything about a tune up. Let's keep it 100- Beltran is a tuneup for Loma.

Yesterday I suggested Mikey defend against whichever mando he needs t take care of around the same time Loma/Beltran fight. Then have the winners unify in early 2019.

Simple. Easy. But because of exclusive network deals and Bob holding a grudge (which is understandable) that will not happen.

Loma has 2 choices. ONE: Manny Pacquiao! Manny has said he wants Loma MANY times now! I think even @ 140, Loma should be able to beat a 40-yr. old Pacquiao! If Loma ducks Pacquiao, then option TWO: Beltran. Were kind of dismissing Jose Pedraza aren't we? Beltran is supposed to face Pedraza on the 25th, if I'm correct? Lastly, I think people are crazy if they think Mikey is going to let Bob Arum, the guy who robbed him, and made him miss 2 years of boxing, dictate to him anymore. Loma would have to come to Showtime for that azz whooping, just like Pacquiao had to go to Showtime for Floyd! That's NOT happening! Mikey will take his chances with Spence Jr., and then I think he'll return to 140 for Prograis, Baranchyk, or Reilkh, if either wins the WBSS!

The problem here is the timeline. Loma will have a tune up, then Beltran/Pedraza, then maybe Mikey.

What is Mikey supposed to do until then? That's at least a year away.

Exactly! Beltran/Pedraze is in 26 days. So depending if thats an easy fight or a brutal 12 rounder we wont see Loma fight either one until Spring. 2019. Then Garcia/Loma the earliest would be Summer/Fall 2019. Thats not even including Bob making it even more difficult.

Loma and his father already said no to 140 and any CW's. Pac would have to come to 135 for the fight..And then I wouldnt even watch it.

Porgais is with TR too so he wouldn't be able to get Mikey.

Loma has limited choices short term, but ESPN will surely pay for the GBP 130 guys to fight him.

I am not a fan of the GGG/Brook, Loma/Rigo, Canelo/Kahn, Mikey/Spence type fights that allow both guys to get paid, champ gets to avoid a high risk/low reward opponent, the smaller guy gets a sure loss but his title or standing in the division isn't affected because he went up 2 divisions. I'd rather see divisions get settled.

No reason we don't have a Spence/Crawford Loma/Mikey double promoter double main event PPV.
