In all honesty, you have several valid points. I have an affinity to see Wilder go all the way up as I have watched his career develop. His resume isn’t the strongest but his 1st 32 fights were a combined 25 rounds or so. It’s as if that punching power is a gift & a curse.
Both sides have turned this into a joke & by both sides, I mean Finkel & Hearn. Most people forget that Finkel was Klit’s manager & Wlad forced Finkel to concede to most every demand for the Joshua fight.
I have less respect for Finkel than I do Hearn.
In Hearn’s defense, he’s trying to bridge the audiences from the US to the UK, not takeover the market, but build upon his brand. I for one hope to see Hearn succeed.
But Finkel’s whole 24 hours to agree & then get the contract didn’t do him or Wilder any favors. It was simply Finky Dink’s ego getting in the way yet again.

And for the record, no offense, but Yanks are up the Northeast coast. Where I live they refer to us all as red necks....
    Be well friend!!

The super sport you spoke of although I have not research it to see it you are right but probably makes sense so thanks for the knowledge
      Let me try again.

If there was a possibility to stage 100,000 seats at Wembley, why didn't they do so for Joshua-Klitschko?

Ok it was not done at that stage as Eddie Hearn didn’t know just how much Joshua was in demand. I would he believed he needed a good dancing partner to even fill an 80,000 stadium. 90,000 was more than enough at the time. However when you accomplish something you generally try to outdo what you have achieved. Now I’m sure if Eddie had his way he would make Wembley a 150,000 stadium but 100,000 will be the maximum I’m afraid. 98,000 was made available for Adele but Fast Eddie will top that. Now considering I have kindly done your own research can we finish with the back and forth it’s boring now . I’m sure there is other people you can impress with your knowledge. I’m no match for you plus I don’t really care. So long buddy

The fight was sold out basically three months in advance of the fight; if there were 100000 seats to sell, you would've done it for Joshua-Klitschko. That's all I'm saying (tbh, i still don't see the sense in selling the fight in trenches of the venue; putting out the fill 100000 tickets at once gives fans the chance to get a seat to the fight, while also giving the ticket touts only one period to scalp tickets, rather than 3).

That’s what I meant also. They keeping talking about 90k seats sold, yet it generates less financial gate as in just ticket sales than 20k-90k in Vegas. So please someone remind Hearn. Pays to be big in England... but pales compared m to be big in America.

If I was scared I'd lose, then yes I'd be crazy to take the deal and lose the belt that is my only way of making more than $1m a fight.

If I was in the opposing corner, and I knew I could win by knockout, I would take $50m to fight in the US, build my profile and make $30-40m per fight afterwards because my audience is now huge. potentially a rematch with Wilder would be worth $60-70m+ if it was a hard fought win. Then fight Fury in $100m fight to ride off into the sunset as the absolute undisputed heavyweight of this era. Nobody else would really make me more unless some new Mike Tyson came out of nowhere, so there would be no point in carrying on.

Reality is I'm neither and both sides love talking the talk, but neither walk the walk. They both have a lot to lose and are scared of each other as they both have career ending power.

The fanboyism on this forum has gone stratospheric, going beyond even May/Pac levels. I'm tired of reading the back and forth.
That is the best post I’ve read about the debacle in quite some time!!

You and only about 2 others, everyone else is too busy defending the BS from both sides like they have something to gain.
