Gary Russell Jr vs Leo Santa Cruz In Play for The Fall

I've heard this rumor for over a month now and it looks like there is some legs to it. Makes a lot of sense and the winner should be in play to get on the P4P list. A win for LSC over GRJ, gives him one hell of a resume'. Mares X2, Frampton and GRJ would be damn good. And this is the guy people claimed for a while was being protected by GBP.

And a win over LSC for GRJ validates him some more. For as talented as he is, he needs a marquee win. Very solid win over Diaz in his last fight, but Diaz is no LSC.

I favor GRJ in a close fight, but man it should be a good one.

And how Gary Russell Jr deals with LSC's reach and activity. Such a good fight. Then the winner can eventually fight the winner of Warrington/Frampton that should be happening soon.

This would be for the lineal title too correct? #1 vs #2.

Interesting fight! I favor Gary Russell Jr. I think he is the more skilled and fundamentally sound of the two. Leo Santa Cruz is largely a volume puncher with no power.

Easy victory for Russell. Santa Cruz style isn't effective enough in these larger weight classes.
