  • At the time of watching the standing 8, it seemed that IJL asked him a few too many times if he was ok. Not sure if anyone else has said on this thread but Whyte wasn't really giving a lot in that last minute and that was enough for Howard Foster to stop Groves/Froch 1.

Apart from that, In my opinion I would say Whyte can stop Miller, Ortiz and Whyte, if he works on his later round fitness.

Yeah, it did. Just sad that people need to say ******ed stuff just to get some attention. The guy probably didn't get enough attention as a kid.

          • I've dissed Whyte in a few threads, saying he was over-rated etc. Although my opinions were based on what I'd actually seen of him in a number of fights, he did what he needed to do against Parker and showed that he is a top contender.

Does he deserve the shot at Wilder? I think he would really trouble him.

By the way, the way you described a Whyte Jishua rematch can easily be how a Wilder Joshua fight would be predicted. Difference is Wilder has stamina and punching power to one punch KO anyone in any round. How is that not more intriguing than a rematch of a fight in which one fighter was dominated.

The difference between the Aj-Whyte fight then and now Ian that Whyte has improved hugely. Jab’s better, has a hell of a weapon in that left hook and he’s fighting smarter according to recent outings.

Wilder will absolutely not fight like Whyte and despite the bluster doesn’t even dislike AJ. He’s not going to make the fight rough, he’s not going to make AJ feel like he’s fighting in a telephone box and he’s not going to get into a war because Wilder does the vast majority of his fighting from range and often refuses to get in close until he thinks he has is opponent stunned; he is well aware of his boxing limitations.

Most fans are agreed that whoever fights Wilder will be winning more or less every round until the fight is over since he offers little until he hits someone with the equaliser. But he has to actually be able to land that shot and I theorize that against a competent, young, strong boxer, his equaliser will provide him nothing like an equal chance of winning but merely a puncher’s chance.

Look, I mean, who am I kidding: i’ll Still pay to watch wilder Joshua (i’m Sure the undercard will be sick) I just think it’s a major mismatch.

                • The podcasts i listen to made the point that Parker seemed to be concussed from that Heavy Headbutt on the back of JP's head, in the 3rd which seemed to totally scramble Parkers brain in a round/fight where he seemed to be comfortably winning. Not sure i totally buy into that without having watched it again, but its totally plausible.

You need to calm down but I you had me with this entire post until you went rogue and talked about ******s at the end. You seem like the kind of guy who would go ****ing nuts and get in a police stand off.

So Wilder will fight Joshua like Joshua is a mover... even though Joshua isn't a mover? Exactly how many Wilder fights have you seen? Seems like you are forming a judgment based off YouTube highlights.
