You say look at the Gomez fight but Cotto's been in trouble a few times with no one like Margarito

See thing is Cotto was in with a puncher. Who has Margarito faced that is a devasating puncher like Torres? It's not even about that though. That's the thing. Cotto has been rocked. How about Tony? Cotto was Rocked in both fights and won. Who wouldn't get rocked making the ****** decision Cotto made in the Torres fight?

I like Margarito and yea i think he is being avoided.. But i just think his defense isn't that great. Someone will tag him on the button. Don't know when but someone will. It might be Cotto/Gatti/Judah/Hatton you never know. But then have the power. Hatton and Cotto being very accurate. IMO Tony is being avoided by PBF.. But i don't think he will beat Floyd. He will have to be VERY patient. Or else we are going to see a Quintana Vs Julio here. Or probaly a Winky Vs Trinidad.. But this time Floyd wouldn't just stay in front of you blocking and hoping to win fights with just blocking.

You understand that Im skeptical on this and that I cant help but think that you are just giving him all this credit to build up a floyd win,now that the Oscar fight has fallen thru,at least for now,and a margarito fight is more likely than ever.
Nah, I was actually rewatching some stuff to prove how much of a bum he is and I first rewatched the 6 Heads fight and it confirmed to me that he was a complete bum but like I said, that was a older fight.

I then rewatched some of his recent fights and changed my mind. Margarito is one of the only few guys I havent been objective about when watching because for a long time there's been talk about a fight between him and Floyd. Thats why when I watch something like the Santos fight then you just look for something to rip Margarito about. Watching that fight live I was just saying, "this guy cant even handle Santos so how can he beat Floyd". Everything Santos did I cheered and everything Margarito did, I overlooked. I still thought he won but since he didnt get the decision, I always bring it up to criticize him.

Now, rewatching it and being fair to him, I was honestly impressed and Im buying the hype. Im not trying to boost up the Floyd fight because I legitmatly would love to see him fight Hatton or Cotto 1st and I think he would knock them out and make the Floyd fight bigger but I know that wont happened. This is a dangerous fight for Floyd but I think he is great enough where he can expose and capitalize on Margarito's flaws but no one else at 147 or 140 can do that.

          And that's totally acceptable.

he saw something he didin't really scrutinize before, and that's what people who watch boxing do.

Margarito has the kind of stuff it takes to ****ing murder anyone in the welterweight division.

WTF are you talking about? I didnt say Quintana would beat him. I said Quintana is good but Margarito would cut the ring off on him and he is too small. I think Margarito would KO him because of his inexperince but Quintana does have a style that could give him problems because he is a slick lefty like Santos and he has some power unlike Santos and Callazo but I said that none of them would beat him, idiot

I don't care how hard someone hits. If you can't catch him then you ain't KO'ing anyone.

Yeah but the difference is that Cotto is at 140 where he's way bigger then everyone else. Some would argue that he wouldve lost some of those fights if he was smaller or at 147. For instance, Torres looked like he was on egual level with Cotto but his weight was just too much. Like Hatton found out, he wont be winning these fights based alot on weight like at 140. These guys will be just as big, can take a better punch, and can hit harder. Cotto could be much better at 147 or you could see some of the same flaws mutiplied because he's in with the bigger guys

To add some food to thought:

The punches that Floyd seems to get hit with are the wide loopy ones, from odd angles (ala Margarito).
