Tim was smart to get out intact. Too many fighters go in too long. I listen to Tommy Hearns talk and it really bothers me. He was a great great fighter but should have got out sooner. I hear about retired fighters dying in car crashes and I always wonder if concussions played a part.

Guys are wisening up and not letting the sport completely retire them. When they develop advanced testing for CTE expect even more of this.

      Bradley
      Maidana
      Ward

It sucks for fans but I think these guys will live a more fruitful life hanging them up "early" instead of fighting way past their prime and flirting with disaster.

I think he explained it in regards to head traumas, I actually respect him for retiring and saving his health and money, he seems like a guy who has his head screwed on properly. He wasn’t going to be able to fight other fighters not Top rank, so no point rematching all these Top rank fighters.

Made great money with those 3 Pac fight and didn't want to become a vegetable. No shame in that.

Bradley definitely picked the right time, he'd been through some wars and taken a lot of punishment. Better to get out possibly a bit too soon than too late.
