Hard to imagine Joshua has only been a pro 5 years this fall, and has already went this far in the sport. He's fought much better opposition than Wilder, who is nearing twice as much time in the ring. And like Joshua admits, he's still learning, and wants to keep climbing. There will be fans screaming about the Wilder matchup until it finally happens. And even then, it would have to be an absolutely amazing fight before some fans would praise Joshua. But that's fine. He admits his weaknesses, and likely gains motivation in trying to be universally recognized for his accomplishments. Will he get past Wilder is the big question... but Povetkin will be a very big challenge coming up next. Definitely looking forward to both fights.

No way Showtime PPV is going to be left out of such a big fight.

And DAZN, at 9.99 with a month free trial, is not going to generate what is needed by either fighter.

So, someone is going to have to blink. DAZN's whole yearly boxing budget is $125M...which is about equal to how much the fight can conservatively generate if held in Vegas.

No way DAZN gets the US fight rights.

I did notice that AJ's deal in Britain is with SkySports and not DAZN. If you think that isn't also going to be a problem in a negotiation then you are nuts.

Geez, I heard of protecting a fighter but this is amazing...

Showtime or HBO just have to offer more money than DAZN for the fight. It's actually quite simple. Joshua is not contracted to DAZN and Wilder is not contracted to Showtime. In fact, you should be rooting for DAZN as then you won't pay for a full price PPV.

Why would Joshua being contracted to Sky Sports be a problem for anyone?

To be clear what Hearn said on DAZN. They have first and final offer on any Joshua fight in the three years. As mentioned by the previous posted all this means is showtime or hbo could simply offer a value higher than DAZN are willing to pay.

No idea why wilder fanboys think this could stop any fight, wilder doesn’t even have a contract with anyone anyway.

If Wilder wins do you go into 1 year hibernation from the forum?
I have just written how AJ will unify the division with or without wilder.
You will call me a prophet soon.

Khan signed for a guaranteed 13mil to fight Canelo.

              try again.

Wilder is the D side, not the C side, B side or A side, he should be grateful they are even considering him as an opponent. The WBC is not what it once was clearly, and the fact they let Bermane Stiverne and Chris Arreola fight for their vacant HW strap further highlights what a joke they've become.

If Anthony Joshua had 40 pro fights while only facing 1 decent opponent you guys would be ripping on him daily, but because it's Wilder in that position you go to painstaking lengths to legitimize his "reign" lol

When a contract stipulates that a rematch only happen when AJ loses and Hearns still gets 50-50 in rematch and all US/UK PPV ya I’ll call bs every time

                  D side ???

Wilders probably the most popular American boxer right now and would be the reason Americans tuned into the fight which if Hearn and AJ weren’t so insistent in it being in the UK would be the biggest financial fight once Canelo / GGg is done

Is Areerola or Stiverne any worse then Charles Martin or Parker getting his strap from Ruiz ?

He hold the most prestigious belt

He should be grateful ? This is the biggest fight that can be made in part because of Wilder , You sound like a clown

You also fail to mention the WBA just ranked at #5 HW BJ Flores. And you want to talk about the WBC?

Congratulations to AJ. It's really a shame that Wilder, as good as he is, still earns crumbs. Did I hear him call Whyte a pauper? Whyte will earn better than Wilder in the fight with Parker
