it's only a big money fight because of AJ, Wilder isn't a draw even in the US, that's why his career best payday is 2.1 mil vs Ortiz while AJ is making tens of millions from his fights and makes more money from his endorsements alone than Wilder has been able to earn in a 40 fight careeryour opinions are laughable, and 15million for Wilder is a massive payday, even AJ only made 17mil in his last fight against Parker.
I’m waiting for one to be called a mandatory and an outside promoter win the open bid. I’d die for weeks on end laughing. But we all know Hearn won’t let that happen and he’ll be compelled to caveComment

Nice of you to just graze right one over the fact that AJ did ask for 50, Wilder gave it to him then ooooh ahhhh welll maybe notComment

“No champion (with a belt) should sign a completely one-sided contract for a championship fight. Nor should they sign a contract with pertinent info left out (re: date of event; location of event).
A-side/B-side nonsense don't matter. A championship fight that is gonna draw world attention should be fair and equitable to both fighters - period. The AJ/Hearn nonsense was none of that ... it really is mindless for anyone to insist that a champion fighter should accept any old contract with any kind of blatant unfair and demeaning conditions in it. If a fighter CHOOSES to sign it (for their own reasons) okay, fine ... he signed a bad deal (knowingly by choice). But, if they choose to pass honestly we should all applaud. As fans we should want championship fights to be good deals for the fighters. No fan should be mouthing about a fighters skill, heart, or desire based on said fighter not signing a bullsheet contract. That would be a fan-girl talking. Not a fan, nor an educated adult.
As educated adults, and fight fans, we should want every fighter to get a fair contract, based on the risks and inevitable damage fighters suffer doing their craft.
I'm not anti-AJ or anyone else. But BS is BS. I never remember an opponent of Ali bringing a stinking contract to the public's attention as a complaint. They must have gotten a "reasonable" and decent contract for the time. That's called respecting your opponent, your trade, and ultimately yourself. Particularly in highly anticipated world event types of fights.
BS is BS ... all fans should call it like it is, no matter who you like. Only kids and ignorant people wear blinders when it comes to business (and "root" for their favs regardless) Fight fans want everyone to win and be well in the BUSINESS of the fight.”Comment

That insulting and laughable. You’d be out of your mind to sign a deal no matter how much more in terms of this-or that on a fight that will generate 100 mil. So please save us the theatrics. The deal was insulting, completely one sided and unequivocally bad. Real boxing fans want equitable outcomes for their fighters. Fan boys continue to clamor the same overused lines
The double standards of wilder's fanboys is ridiculous.
Now they care so much about the purse and be crying matchroom like babies.Comment

He is a champion no matter how many ways you twist it into a pretzel. So we think Mohammad Ali clamored publicly over the fact Frazier or Foreman or Cooney was making a chunk of his profits even though the draw was almost 100% Ali? No? Why? Because they are professionals and each brought their records into the ring no matter if they filled 50 seats. That’s called professionalism. I don’t care if AJ makes 100 mil per fight. The matchup between he and Wilder will bring in windfall profit. Without Wilder AJ and Hearn don’t make over 100 mil and vice versa or as Dad used to say it takes two to tango.

You are more interested in hearn being humiliated than seeing the undisputed.Comment

A real contract is on board waiting to be signed.
That's what fans are waiting for. We are a signature away from the mega fight.Comment

It just got THAT MUCH HARDER to make the Wilder/AJ fight.
No way Showtime PPV is going to be left out of such a big fight.
And DAZN, at 9.99 with a month free trial, is not going to generate what is needed by either fighter.
So, someone is going to have to blink. DAZN's whole yearly boxing budget is $125M...which is about equal to how much the fight can conservatively generate if held in Vegas.
No way DAZN gets the US fight rights.
I did notice that AJ's deal in Britain is with SkySports and not DAZN. If you think that isn't also going to be a problem in a negotiation then you are nuts.
Geez, I heard of protecting a fighter but this is amazing...Comment

Enough of this contract bull****e. Let me give to you one of the more educated quotes on this site.

This is what the wilder boys want so they can be happy. unfortunately it's not going to happen.
In as much as he is a champ, he is bringing nothing to this fight but a green belt. The belt could as well be bought and 15mil is too good to be rejected for a single belt.
No other champ received 15mil for their belts in unification.
Wilder is only prolonging his days as champ, that's all.Comment
