Arum will NOT allow Lomachenko to fight Garcia EVER because of the personal ties between him (Arum) & Mikey. Garcia Vs. Any of the PBC affiliated fighters is the easy negotiation to make. Which is why Mikey always mentions certain names as potential opponents.
Bobfather at best would maybe offer Crawford but he wants to feed Pacquiao to "Bud" first it seems. We will have to wait and see if Manny tells Bobbi to go fugg himself.Comment

I think that move would be pretty dumb for Mikey, I think he can give Spence some problems early but he'd eventually get stopped late in the fight, a fight like this takes years off of your career and is surely ill-advised, Kell Brook is a prime example.Comment

A fight with Spence is much easier to make due to Haymon but the Lomachenko fight is more competitive. It's going to be really difficult for Mikey vs Loma to happen as long as Bob is still running the ship. Mikey's not going to just accept what Bob offers because he technically has more options than Loma does AND isn't tied down to a Promoter / Network (technically). Also, Lomachenko isn't by far the top bill when it concerns both of them like he was with Rigo and Linares. But from what I've seen with Lomachenko and his team they seem to press Bob for the fights they want based on an interview I saw about how the Rigo fight inevitably got made with Bob being very adamant about not wanting to do it. Ultimately if they both want the fight I think it gets done. THEN the question becomes...who televises it?

Wait, Mikey is calling out an A-list fighter again?
Come to negotiate the fight: "Oh, they want options" "Cant work with that promoter" "Has to be on my network" blah blah blah.
Mikey ends up fighting B-list fighter.
Rinse. Repeat.
Mikey's resume is OK, esp. if he beats Easter. And I dont really fault him for trying to take control over his own career (walking away from TR, refusing options). Fighters have the absolute right to control their own career. However, this will prevent fights from happening.
But Im so tired of him calling out guys and then not fighting them. And Im really tired of people giving him credit as a courageous guy because he ** calls out ** Spence, Bud, Cotto Loma, Linares (but never actually fights them).Last edited by sensfulviolence; 07-26-2018, 02:12 PM.Comment

Bob wants to his milk his fighters while he can, Pac is gone. Bob is the marinator, We the fans suffer. It's politics, plus Loma just won a belt on his first fight at 135. Lomas injured now, so that's in the way as well. I think the fight will happen, but Mikey needs to beat bunny on Saturday. Mikey wants Spence at 47, rumor is it's signed already for December. It's delay after delay man.Comment
