Yes, that is correct. They wanted AJ and his team to verbally accept so they could draw up a contract. It was a legit offer to call AJ's bluff of saying he would sign in 24hrs.

Hearn questioned if the money was actually legit, which he found out it was. They still declined stating AJ wants the fight in the UK, not the US. (Even though Hearn admitted that the biggest money is to be made in the US. He even talked about fighting Miller to get US exposure, but didn't want Wilder in the US.

... so: AJ "verbally accepted" even before hand... and DW's team needed him to accept again, in order for them to draw an actual contract?... well, OK... now I get it...

15 Million IS 30% of 50 Million U.K which is more then Wilder would make paying out 50 Million flat to Joshua in the U.S had Joshua agreed .

If Wilder actually wanted the fight he simply agrees to the AGREED terms and signs ......

You people who constantly say Wilder should have just signed, with no backend money, no bonefied date, no rematch clause, are the epitome of a super silly biased fan. Wilder knows AJ is the A-side, but that doesn’t mean Wlider should be treated like a scrub. Everyone involved including us knows AJ can’t make anywhere near the size of a fight with anyone else in the division he can with Wilder! The Gypsy King is correct AJ needs the home advantage with a stacked deck and shady officials or he will refuse to fight. But Wilder is no better he has behaved terribly for a decade not befitting of a champion. Even a 400 pound Tyson on the sniff had more credibility than either man.
