    Was watching this behind the scenes thing with Usyk


    He mentions how he got hit in the 4th and thought to himself "I can take it, but better not to let that happen again..."

    Then he goes on to say that Gvozdyk in sparring hit him harder.

    So it's true, Gvozdyk does hit with very mean intentions indeed.

      To me it would say the Ukraine amateur coaches/style deserves a lot of credit and needs to be learned from. I know Loma is coached by his dad but guessing the rest of them were taught by some of the same trainers and part of the national system. Sergey D as well?

      It would also say that maybe there's an advantage to having a long amateur career and then turning pro in mid/late 20s and going for belts after 10-15 fights. As a fan I'd rather boxers turn pro earlier, especially as certain fighters do peak very young.
