The idea that one has to fight in Vegas to validate their career is BS

so your saying Vegas isn’t always the most money contradicting your previous statement. This fight would have been more profitable in the Uk but Munguia as the champ isn’t going across the pond. It’s not always about profit.

Look at wilder he’s not a Vegas fighter. Fought there once. That’s why he went back to Alabama and Barclays after that fight and never came back

yeah its ridiculous, just a bunch of insecure posters trying to make vegas the be all and end all of boxing. as if the sport is really thriving over there at the moment if it was then surely their american 'champ' could be carrying vegas cards on his own

I hate that so many fights are in Vegas. No other sport that I can think is solely fought out of the hometowns for the most part.

Look at bowl games for the most part which pits two non local teams against each other. Unless its a huge bowl game or close enough geographically to one team the attendance is usually pitiful and the stadium is half empty or worse.

Put a fighter in his hometown like Bud or Spence have done recently and the crowds are legit.

You have to fight in Vegas because that's where stars fight. It's pretty simple.

If you headline a major ppv card in Vegas you've "made it" so to speak.

Made it to the top of the sport. Made it to the top of the pay scale, etc.

People can say whatever else they want, but Vegas is at the very tip top of the food chain in the sport of boxing.

You don't have to headline in Vegas to be great, but you gotta be great to headline in Vegas.

People don’t think that he beat Hop and he fought Roy when he was done. That’s keeping it G lol...
