Sadam Ali is with Golden Boy and got an 1 option with Munguia incase of a rematch clause but obviously Ali doesn't want one so Golden Boy did the option vs. Smith. No idea what's Munguia's relationship with Golden Boy at this point. Unless he signs with them, they have no more options on him.

Voluntary defense against margarito will sell out any place in Tijuana, and I might convince the old lady to let me go and watch it there

Id almost hate to see lara in another rough fight which would most likely be the case with munguia. That hurd fight alone had to have taken a toll. No way management can see back to back hard puncher breakdown fights as a good career move

He is a world champion. To me that means he is supposed to be the best fighter in the world at his weight and should be ready to prove it against any top 154 pound contender or champion. If he won't do this is he some kind of a pretend world champion who is still learning on the job and only fights guys he knows he can beat? Ali didn't hesitate to defend his title against Munguia because that is what good champions do. Munguia didn't hesitate to fight tough mandatory Smith because that is what good champions do. I would love to see him fight tough talking so called lion Jermell. I think Munguia would knock him out right now without any more learning fights.Munguia is no Trout. He is ready for anybody at 154 now and of course he will get better.

Jermell Charlo first. Lara later because his experience too much for Munguia right now.

You think Rosado is on the same level as Smith or just below? He's tough like him and he'll give Munguia rounds which is something he needs.

Munguia is no Trout. Trout is a crafty veteran who would most likely school Munguia at this point. The WBO rankings have tons of guys for Munguia to fight who wouldn't beat him and that's who they'll most likely match him against for a while. Dennis Hogan is a guy with no power who won a WBO eliminater. But I agree. Munguia is a world champion, he should fight anybody.

I don't think Munguia beats any of the top guys right now. If Smith could punch he would have killed him. Trout would be a good safe loss that wouldn't leave him with permanent damage. Munguia needs work and he needs to realize that. Trout will give him that knowledge.
