WBO junior middleweight champion Jaime Munguia of Mexico remained unbeaten with a unanimous decision victory over England's Liam Smith in a 12-round title fight on Saturday night. The 21-year-old Munguia improved to 30-0 with 25 knockouts by becoming just the second boxer -- along with Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez -- to beat Smith.

Liam is right, skill wise they are even...Liam might even be a little bit better technically, but munguia is just too strong.

Poor Liam, he stays catching beatings from Mexicans who are middle weights but oddly make 154 pounds but then rehydrate to light heavyweights.

Liam lost to a bigger and younger guy, not that Liam is old, just facing a guy who's 21! Hopefully he'll come again once Hurd or munguia moves up and he gets a shot at a vacant belt, otherwise I think he'll struggle to win a belt

Good fight by Smith, Munguia can't stop punching even if shot with a rifle.

Anyhow, good for Jaime that the NSAC denied him against GGG, who would have killed his career immediately.

Haha. Those Smiths never give an opponent who beats them the full credit they deserve. Always have this "Oh, I could have won..." attitude.

To be fair, he was doing really well in the beginning of the fight. JM was twice the size of him. Once JM fights a guy who is his size he will get beat easily IMO.
