Is RJJ one of the best in his prime

You have to look at how many titles he won over the years and all the weigh classes he's moved up and down in. but what is your thought?? do you think he really is ONE of the best not saying the best. again no haters just state your thoughts.

Yes, easily, I'd say. At his best, RJJ would have given any fighter...and I mean ANY fighter who weighed between 160-200Lbs trouble...and fighter who has ever lived, fought, been champion, etc.

      Roy's a bonafied Top 10 P4P, IMHO.

He's the greatest light heavyweight I've ever seen.

In his prime, he was about as close to untouchable as you can get.

this is a very ignorant post.

roy jones was entertaining but he was highly over rated. his competition was weak he didnt have many fights and once he lost he was done for. not one of the greats by any means in my oppinion.

You are a ****ing moron. Seriously, Ali's place in his own division is disputed. Granted it's mostly whether or not he's #1 or #2, but it's disputed nonetheless. (EDIT: I just saw more of his posts, just a troll)

Also, RWK, what about Leon Spinks? Most people would consider him greater, same with uhm... Archie Moore, I think it was.

I think talent wise, Roy was one of the most gifted fighters ever, and he beat a lot of great fighters, but I don't think he deserves a top 10 p4p all time spot. I'd place him top 50 of all time, but I think there are probably guys who deserve a top 10 spot more than him. But hell, placing top 50 pound for pound makes you one of the greatest ever, in my book, considering A) how many great boxers there have been, and B) how many boxers there have been in general. So, in short, yes, Roy was one of the greatest (also my favorite).

By that logic Tito isn't one of the greats, either, because once he got beat, he was done for. He won one fight against a completely worthless fighter, and then lost again and retired for good (probably).

Tito wasn't knocked out cold by a crackhead, and then stifled by a complete Journeyman.

Its non-boxing fans like you that think ali was a god. Ali wasnt even the best heavyweight ever, let-alone the best fighter ever.

Id say 3rd best fighter that ever lived, and that could be pushing it in the eyes of many experts

As far as roy jones, i think he was one of the best fighters in the history of the sport. In his prime, all his fights seemed easy. He never seemed to struggle, even against the best like hopkins. but he was mostly entertaining which is why he is so highly rated.

If he fought better competition throughout his career, it would be easier to rank him. but we have to settle on what we know about him for sure, which is what makes ranking Jones jr so hard

I think hes a top 25 best P4P fighters ever. saying he is top 10 is really pushing it
