Even Mayweather fans should accept a fact (like I have). Taylor is a lot faster than Floyd. Though, Floyd in better is every single other aspect of the sport.

relax, i'd give taylor a shot at upsetting mayweather, the taylor that fought chavez would beat mayweather, i don't see what mayweather has that can hurt taylor

In regards to the Chavez-Taylor stoppage...

Richard Steele, IMO, should have let it go because Julio wouldn't have landed another punch; but in Steele's defense, the referee's job is to make sure the fighter's don't get hurt. By his own admission, Steele was watching Taylor, who'd just been dropped (as he should have) and not watching the flashing lights on top of the posts. Steele was staring deeply into Taylor's eyes; but Taylor was watching Lou Duva, who was climbing the steps into the ring in anticipation of the end of the round, and wasn't really paying attention to Steele...probably because he was buzzed...and probably because in that frame of mind when your ears are ringing and you see your trainer climbing into the ring, you think he's about to stop it.

Either way, Taylor did not respond to Steele's question appropriatelyl and Steele did the only thing he knew to do...stop the fight.

It really makes no difference. It was heartbreaking to see Taylor who had worked so hard all night and came out aggressive in the 12th lose way; but he would never have been the same after that war anyhow.

In a nutshell: Taylor was in bad shape, the ref did his job in the regard of the fighter's safety and in regard to Steele's personality. Every Ref is different. Steele's not taking the time left in the Taylor-Chavez fight pales when compared to his early stoppage of Tyson-Ruddock I; but that's just my opinion. At the time, I was extremely pissed at Richard Steele over him stopping the Taylor fight.

Mayweather is a harder puncher than Taylor
                Both have good chins
                Mayweather has better defense
                Mayweather better technically
                Mayweather has better stamina

just based on taylors fight with chavez i think stamina wise goes to taylor, you can't fight like that and not have great stamina, and technically they'd be the same, defense mayweather wins this, taylor didn't mind taking a shot, chin, i'd favor taylor he took some murderous shots early in the bout with chavez and still stood his ground, harder puncher taylor not by much, i'll admit their were taylor stopped chavez right in his tracks with his combos.

i just think to this fight would be hell of close and i'd favor taylor, the dod fights that i've seen mayweather in mayweather has not proven to be willing to exchage with his oppoent for long. so i think he'd also have trouble with another fighter that would come straight to him throwing many punchs and walking throw his punchs, yet taylor can match or exceed mayweather speed, so mayweather would fight to be on his A game to beat taylor in a very close fight
