He did. Taylor didn't have any pop in his shots primarily because he was focused more on just putting his gloves on his opponenst as fast as he could.

I've never seen hands as fast as Meldrick Taylor's.

Roy Jones was fast, Ray Leonard was fast, Zab Judah's got good speed; but Meldrick, at his best, was a blur....one big red blur.
