I really don't see anything special with this kid,,he's kind of slow, his defense isn't that great,,,don't know about his punch resistance since I've only seen him against ali and we know this guy he's fighting isn't a strong puncher,,so I still cant say much,,,but just from that one fight I guess I can't make an opinion but from that fight alone,he seemed slow to me,but need to see more and see how his timing is

The kid should be moved carefully. Jumping in too deep, too soon could ruin him.

It's incredible the amount of attention Jaime Munguia has gotten since he destroyed Ali. The kid is remarkable and so damn likable its impossible to hate him. Munguia got this fight with Smith. Don't expect a top fighter in his next fight though cause he already had mentioned earlier he would like to have a fight in his hometown

No Munguia needs 4-6 more fights before fighting the big guys, he's still just a kid who got cherry picked ie he got lucky to fight for a title at his age and against a natural welterweight.

I just hope he doesn't fight too much more of the weak local comp. He's very active so he'll probably still have two more fights this year.
