As of now I give Hurd the slight advantage, solely and purely on experience.

Hurd has shown the ability to avoid punches when he isn't fighting a mobile target. The kid is already talking about wanting the stylistically easier fight. Not a good sign

This Munguia, he has been talking a tough game. We don't even know if he truly is any good yet. Beating Sadam Ali was ok. If he beats Smith ok. but they are not that good. Hurd is proven tough.

Munguai is still a kid (20/21?), give it another year. In the meantime, slowly start stepping up in competition, Smith is a step in the right direction.

But even if it went down now, it would be a bloodbath. You would have to favour Hurd cos of the experience and he's a proven world level fighter. But man Munguai looks like he's gonna be a problem.

I tried to bring attention to Munguia before the Ali fight because I thought he might be interesting. Now I want you guys to get off his nuts.

You’re looking at it the wrong way. He’s looking at it from an entertainment point of view and lets be honest...Hurd-Mungia is a tremendous and fan pleasing fight if Munguia develops further.

He’s Mexican and wants to appeal to the crowd. I like that. He’s looking to the bigger, unified champ that will undoubtedly be a much tougher fight in terms of punishment.

He’s looking to test his mettle through a trial by fire. I like it.

In terms of viewing pleasure/preference, I’d pay for Hurd-Munguia and maybe even Hurd-Charlo. Not so sure about Charlo-Munguia at this stage.

Kid is calling out the big dog in the division. Hurd is currently the man who beat the man so lets make it happen in a few fights if Munguia gets there. He’s HUGE and looks the goods but skill wise he needs a little more time.

Charlo is a little too skilled right now and Hurd might be a little too much for him. Lets see him vs Smith and take it from there. Not every 21 year old is as good and experiencd as Canelo and we’ve gotta see him in with some more top 10 guys.

Thanks, I didn't realize that. I figured Munguia was associated with HBO. Here's hoping this can happen next year
