The fact of the matter is and this doesn't just apply to the heavyweight division... Once punch can change a fight on any given day any fighter could beat another fighter.

Obviously povetkin won’t win on the cards but I do think he could catch Joshua. Guess it depends how well these 2 roid piles get tested in the lead up. If I was gonna bet tho my money would be on Joshua without a doubt

I hate this fight tho cause I think Wilder or Joshua will lose before they can meet in the ring

Both fights went 10 rounds. So in 10 rounds, Povetkin inflicted far more damage on a younger, 33 year old prime Takam who was previously UN-KO'ed whilst Joshua inflicted far less damage on an older, already KO'ed Takam in 10 rounds.

Which is why when Povetkin landed his best punches, Takam went to sleep. Whilst when Joshua landed his best punches, Takam was still standing.

Putting someone to sleep > cutting someone's face.

Putting someone to sleep > knocking someone down for a 2 count.

Putting someone to sleep = a more convincing and decisive way of winning, than by winning through a standing TKO stoppage. Because the former is conclusive and leaves no question marks. Whilst the latter leaves question marks as to the potential things that COULD'VE happened without the premature stoppage.

Povetkin barely landed anything clean in the first 4 rounds on Takam. He had him figured out after the 4th round. So that point proves nothing!

Takam was over 250 pounds in the Povetkin fight and was hit A LOT more .

Joshua hit him with LESS then 40 clean shots in the first 4 rnds and it looked like Takam was mugged by mid rounds .

The bell also arguably saved Takam in round 4 .

The odds of Takam lasting 2 more rnds against an excellent finisher was slim and the ref actually saved him from a huge upper cut he never saw coming

....of course he had blood in both eyeas so i dont know what fight you guys were watching bc Takam was on his last stand even if he was swinging ...Joshua was going for the kill .

Not only did Joshua defeat a better in shape Takam but he did it far easier then a pedded Povetkin who fouht an easier target . Takam actually hurt or briefly stunned Povetkin in one of those early rounds that rocked him back .

Don't get bent out of shape, I'm not claiming that Takam was robbed or anything, but you're too easily impressed if you blow a load in your trousers over that win.

It was a flat, slightly clumsy performance against a fringe challenger where Joshua didn't look all that great, capped off by an unsatisfying UK stoppage (as evidenced by the boos of an otherwise very pro-Joshua crowd.) It didn't have any of the drama of the Klitschko fight, it wasn't a camera-friendly destruction like most of his fights before that, and the fight did more to highlight his vulnerabilities than showcase what makes him special. It was a pedestrian defense of the title that didn't live up to to its grand venue or its PPV billing. In the same timespan, Wilder delivers a sizzle-reel worthy 1-round execution of the only man to ever go the distance with him. Sure, Stiverne in no way deserved to be in that ring, but honestly neither did Takam with AJ.

If your expecting a Klitchko LIKE fight all the time then your following the wrong sport .

Povetkin was quite badly hurt and took most of the next round off.

Price couldn't capitalise because the dude gases after throwing a punch and has no confidence whatsoever. Bellew was pretty much screaming at him that "he's ready to go". I don't often agree with Tony Bellew but he was right about that one - there was a legite opportunity for Price to get him out of there.



Right, and Klitschko destroyed Povetkin, albeit in farcical fashion with all the clinching. Povetkin continuously walks into left hooks.

You realize Povetkin knocked him out right ?

You certainly forgot bc nothing you stated happened in that fight . lol

1 . Povetkin was not hurt and it was a very hard shot .

2 . Povetkin knocked him out in rnd 5 after the called knocked down bc he fell into the ropes he was not visibly hurt . He did not take a round off he maintained control .


Klitchko didnt destroy Povetkin bc Povetkins rushing inside clinching tactics forced Klitchko to rough house him....

People just dont want to study footage to catch it o they create their own version .


Parker was doing the same to Joshua to a lesser extent .

No, I don't expect a fight of the year contender every time, but you expect a better fight than that when you're paying for a PPV.
