In 2008, a 36 year old DLH claimed he could make 147, after 7 years of fighting at 154+. He wasn't lying, he made 147lbs. But was weight drained.
Pacquiao at 39, and last time he made 135 was 10 years ago, is believable.
Question for these fighters draining themselves to weight classes they "can" make, is "should" they do it? Especially 35+ year olds, going down in weight classes they haven't made in 10 years? Is it safe for their body? Will they be at 100%? Are they going to give their fanbase a fair performance?
No he can't, not staying healthy. And the more important point is that he doesn't need to. He's an aging legend who will be by far and away the most respectable and well paying opponent of Lomachenko's career. Loma needs to move to 140, and even 142-143 CW if he wants that fight.
Every time you pick a winner of a fight on here that I have read you have been wrong and the exact opposite has happen. Two recent examples are you picking Vanes to KO GGG and you picking Matthysse to KO Pacquiao. Loma is a great fighter and it's possible he could beat Pacquiao. He is not going to humiliate Pacquiao and make him look ******. He would have his hands full fighting Pacquiao at 135. It would take all the skill, courage, intelligence, conditioning and punching power he has to come out the winner. Pacquiao is a great old fighter and hardly the pushover you are making him out to be.
