With Floyd's reluctance to come right in on Manny like he did Conor unless he has a death wish, and Manny not having a torn rotator cuff this time around, I would buy that PPV in a NY second.Would it REALLY surprise anyone to see a Mayweather vs Pacquaio rematch at this point? Floyd has to be bored, Manny has a belt. How many more payday's of this magnitude is out there for either man? From a business standpoint it makes sense, from a non-casual perspective it doesn't. Yet that wouldn't be a fight for the die hards, it would be for the casual base. Honestly after 35 and after 15 or so years in the sport with your legacy cemented go for the money.Comment

The Manny that beat Lucas murks Khan and AB.
He'd be competitive with Crawford and Lomo as well.
I think he should avoid Spence though, can't say exactly why - just a feeling.Comment

So now Floyd is old. When he beat up Pac it was Pac who was over the hill but now Floyd is old.
Crawford is a runner? How so? Crawford is the first man to unify all the belts at 140Ibs, something NOT even Pac could dream of doing. Pac beat Hatton who had been knocked out by Floyd.
Do you think Oscar ran from Hopkins during their fight?
What about when he fought Tito? What about Ali when he fought Foreman? Did he run?
What about Roy against Ruiz?Comment

^ This is exactly how I see it as well. I want him to avoid Crawford just because he still gives up size and age by a significant amount.Comment

Originally posted by horgePhilippine Senate takes a 2-month recess from mid-March,
a month-long recess from mid October, and another one
from mid-December (the Christmas recess).
Just to train for a fight, Pacquiao has to clear it with both
the Senate in general AND his party leaders, because,
not only is there not enough time during recesses, but
those recesses are often when the party meets and
strategizes, or even hits the campaign trail in support of
local candidates.
One fight a year is the realistic limit, and even that is
pushing it, because of local and national elections: some
shorter-term (lower votes gotten) Senators end their
terms in 2019(?), and Pac has to campaign for his party's
candidates. Pac himself, being a high-vote winner in 2016,
ends his term in 2022 --which means he'll likely fight
a manageable-risk opponent (for the W and the fan votes)
in the summer of that year.
To be honest, I'm not too interested in Pacquiao prolonging his career unless he fights the top guys at Welterweight like Spence, Crawford, Thurman or whoever wins the Garcia-Porter fight. If he's going to fight other guys outside of that, I'm not too interested. I'm hyped about the potential Joshua-Wilder fight and the Canelo-Golovkin rematch though. I'm definitely up for those kind of fights.Comment
