Wilder situation aside, this is a good fight that should entertain, as long as AJ doesn’t go into ‘finesse’ mode like he did vs Parker.
Povetkin is obviously on the decline but we shouldn’t overstate it. Ortiz was also on the decline after failed PED tests, was old, had looked lacklustre in previous fights, and look how the Wilder fight turned out. Povetkin may well rediscover something being an underdog and fighting for 3 belts.
He has been one of the top HWs for most of the last decade and you can’t write that kind of experience off.Comment

Not the fight we wanted but still a decent scrap
Hopefully Joshua doesn’t get injured and we can get the main event in April
Hopefully wilder breezes past breezele and we get to see the top two at it
The furious one is getting in shape too think we’ve got a decent couple of years to look forward too . Whyte fury would be epic if Whyte does a job n Parker (I think he will) . Good stuffComment

I expect AJ to dominate POvetkin and KO him before round 8. this should set up the Wilder fight.Comment

Looking forward to this fight! at this stage Joshua is still improving and I'll be interested to see how he deals with Povetkin, who I rate highly, he's a much better all-round boxer than Wilder but without the size and reach.
Povetkin is explosive from mid-range and inside, this will test Joshua's defence and ability to fight and tie-up inside.Comment
