It is shocking isn't it. Can any Wilder fans take a look at that list and defend it? Then compare it to AJ's who has taken on much bigger fights at much earlier stages of his career? It is obvious who takes risks and challenges and who doesn't in their career.

How do you find the ranking of an opponent at the time they fought someone? I had a look at AJ's here:

and would've thought that from Kevin Johnson onwards he's stepped up. Even in the first few fights the likes of Skelton and Sprott would've been ranked at one point.

No you don't. AJ demanded rematch clause.

A rematch clause is not unusual for A sides to include in the contract.
But that doesn't mean he gets to dictate everything in the rematch if he loses.
Are you saying it's the reason why Wilder didn't sign?
(I'm expecting to see you respond with the missing date and place, which could have been hashed out in 5-10 minutes.)

What they will do is keep talking about Wlad being 41 years old when he fought Joshua...but like I stated before, Finkel would not let Wilder fight Wlad.

Of course it's not. But UK fans can't say "Wilder wants a rematch and therefore is scared" while AJ is also demanding one.

Even Hearn has admitted that Finkel conceded the point and Wilder was willing to sign without a rematch.

Wilder didn't sign because he was never given the opportunity to sign for what had been agreed to -- the fight being next. Hearn sent a blank contract and said give me a few days to send you the date. Then a few days past and Hearn said he'd decided to fight Povetkin next and the date would be April.

Wilder never ever had a chance to sign for 2018.

Wilder fans need to stop saying he accepted the deal. He didn't as he didn't sign the contract. If someone says I accept the deal but then don't return the contract they havnt accepted the deal. Actions speak louder than words.

He was never sent a contract that reflected what was agreed to. They agreed to the fight being next, but then Hearn refused to send a contract that said the fight would be next.
