    Top 5 Best Heavyweights

Who are the top 5 best heavyweights of all time, head-to-head?

    I would say something like...

    1: Lennox Lewis
    2: Vitali Klitschko
    3: Wladimir Klitschko
    4: Tyson Fury
    5: Anthony Joshua

These guys are just so big and well-balanced, it really has to be between them. While I respect old legends like Joe Frazier, then let's be honest, they wouldn't even be able to beat good-but-not-great modern fighters like Joseph Parker. It's completely new times. Bigger and technically better fighters at play.

Saw Lewis, Klitschkos, and Fury (of all people) in the top 4, and I immediately disregarded your list. Do yourself a favor: use YouTube, search for "Muhammad Ali fights," and educate yourself.

Yeah, Lennox Lewis should be seen as the factual number 1. He got everything going for him. Big size, loong reach, good power, good speed, good skills. And a great resume.

As for Vitali and Wladimir, I sincerely don't see anyone besides Lewis beating them best-out-of-three in their prime.

I have seen most Muhammad Ali fights. And he was a great fighter, far ahead of his time. In fact, he and Mike Tyson are my two favourite boxers.

The thing is, Muhammad Ali fought guys who were smaller and technically inferior to the newer champions. How would Muhammad Ali beat the bigger, stronger Lewis? With rope-a-dope? Lewis isn't primitive like the George Foreman that Muhammad Ali fought, Lewis is as smart as he is big. Lewis, Wladimir, Vitali and Fury would all win comfortable decision wins against Muhammad Ali. I'm not so sure about Joshua. I doubt that Joshua would be able to stop Ali and I actually think that Ali would outpoint him. Ali is all wrong for Joshua.

I think you compare fighters across eras when they were at their peak. Peak Ali didn't need rope a dope.

I don't believe that Lewis would spark Ali out. Ali had a great chin and good movement. I do believe that Lewis would win a comfortable UD, though, and knock Ali down once or twice as the fight goes on, without ever getting close to stopping him.

Peak Ali never fought anyone who were even half as great fighters as Lewis... I love Ali, man, but let's not insult our own intelligence like this. Lewis is not as clumpsy as Sonny Liston. Ali would never be allowed to dance around Lewis like that and Lewis wouldn't go down from a phantom punch.
