the thing that is bullsh-it is that thurman says he needs a tune up which is fine but a tune up doens't have to be a 3 month promotion with a 6 month break till your next fight. jump on any card and get a 10 rounder in. fight a month or 2 later in a real fight.

He had elbow surgery and then a hand injury as well. He already vacated the "green belt" so you can stop whining. It ain't his fault he has injury issues. Unfortunately most people on this forum are fickle bandwagon jumpers so I'm not surprised people are talking **** about him now.

IMHO Ward and Mayweather actually were villified, but it depends who you talked to about it.

I think it's just that Championship-expectations from fans are different than for contenders. Once you're the champ the script can flip on you a lot easier than when it's someone still on the hunt.

I think it's rather unfortunate for him to have to sit on the sideline this long due to injuries and I'm pretty sure that's been against his will. I don't think there's much he can do about the situation and I think it's only right to vacate all belts and to be placed as the number 1 contender as soon as he comes back.

The Spence fight was never going to happen in 2018. Thurman wasn't fighting Spence in his first fight back after major surgery, that would be ******.

thank god they stripped him.....holding up a hot division is some BS.....we need fighting champs not paper champs......make him emeritus champ and give him a opportunity to fight for it if he ever comes back....He just might be retired tho

yeah i know thats why no one cares about him. he needs to promote a tune up as a main event type fight so thats 3-4 months. then he needs another 6 months of rest of course. then he has to actually take the fight when he seems hesitant. who cares
