i'm a boxing fan, disappointed that a guy calling himself a prizefighter wouldn't even entertain a $50m deal after finding out that it was legitimate. Hearn straight up said that the money didn't matter. You joshua fans have to stop acting like joshua's camp didn't blow it off, and that joshua didn't openly admit that comfort was more important than getting paid ridiculously and getting wilder out of the way. No fighter has turned down that much money to fight at home, or honestly for any other reason. The same way that wilder's "50/50 or no fight" is bs and delusional, is the same way that blowing off $50m + backend and countering with $15m flat is an unadulterated ***** move. How does joseph parker deserve better than that for a significantly lesser fight, in a negotiation where you're apparently doing everything you can to get this fight made, knowing it's importance?

Anyway, finkel just explained clearly why the contract never got signed, but fans of a certain fighter believe that signing incomplete documents to "just get it done" makes any kind of business sense. When you ask for a revision to a contract, only to have the guy who sent it call off the fight before sending the revision, after that guy says that you never responded, and also after that guy never mentioned the sanctioning body pressure that apparently forced him to call off the fight, you'd think that people could at least admit a little fault to hearn's actions. He clearly always had this in mind for next year.

Its boring now , Finkels just trying to sell some Wilder tickets in the states we get it. If it wasn't for how he ripped Briggs off I'd say fair play ... Deontay go read the court records its all on the web and then run.

One of two things happen now either DW starts fighting top 10's and mandatorys including the fighters the Brits have heard off to put pressure on AJ in which case boxing wins .. or DW disappears down a black hole and the way Aj is shifting tickets I don't think he needs him.

Why does Wilder have to fight any UK overrated heavyweight? Other than Joshua the only heavyweight you have of note is Tyson Fury (after a couple of more tune up fights). Wilder will continue to march forward, fighting maybe Parker, Big Baby Miller and then Tyson Fury if Hearn still refuses to make a Wilder Joshua fight on fair terms. A Fury Wilder fight would be very interesting and lucrative.

Is horribly mismanaged.
Claps when the plane lands.
Has fought 1 person ranked in the top 15 in his whole career.
Believes pineapple belongs on pizza.
Is using AJ's name to boost his profile.
Cannot string a coherent sentence together.

Wilders deluded fans would be give him praise no matter who he fought. The failed basketball player claims to be greater than Mike Tyson when in reality old Betty stood at the bus stop waiting for a ride to AJ's next fight would knock him out.

Hearn told Finkel, the WBA, Ryabinski, and every boxing journalist who cared to listen, that the contract was for a fight this year. A promoter negotiating a multi-million dollar deal wouldn't just blatently lie to everyone concerned about something as important as that.

You know, it's pretty funny that you find your self having this argument, when AJ fanagers said Wilder was ducking Whyte because he wanted a guarantee that AJ would be the next fight. They said that was impossible, now he's ducking AJ because he won't sign to fight AJ in a future fight after his next fight. Lmao you really can't win with people like that.

That's actually a ******ed point. Hearn isn't talking about about putting a guarantee that AJ will fight Wilder in April into a contract for a fight with somebody else.

It's just an offer to fight AJ at Wembley, next April, which Wilder can sign for now if he wants.

Nobody has said the contract was rejected and certainly Finkel doesn’t say that here.

But the $50 million offer keeps coming up, out of the mouths of Wilder fans as if that was some kind of missed opportunity, completely ignoring the fact that they’ve been negotiating terms since that time and have been unable- for whatever reason- to get the fight done.

The $50 million ‘offer’ is totally irrelevant, and Wilder fans need to stop hiding behind it.
